What happens in the first session?
Our initial meeting focuses on understanding your concerns and goals. This session helps us establish rapport and develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
What is BrainWorking Recursive Therapy (BWRT)?
BrainWorking Recursive Therapy (BWRT) is a modern, evidence-based psychological approach that works directly with the brain’s natural responses to thoughts, emotions, and behaviour. BWRT® helps interrupt unhelpful patterns before they develop into emotional distress, allowing for rapid and lasting change.
I will explain how BWRT® works in a clear and accessible way and answer any questions you may have.
Can BWRT also focus on improving quality of life?
Yes. Once deeper or underlying issues have been addressed, treatment can also focus on:
Enhancing overall quality of life
Supporting healthy adjustment to life changes, such as ageing
Personal growth and emotional resilience
Elements of life coaching and goal setting
This approach allows therapy to move beyond symptom relief and support long-term wellbeing and personal development.
How does online therapy work?
Online sessions are conducted via a secure video platform, offering the same quality of care as in-person sessions. All you need is a private space, a reliable internet connection, and a device with a camera and microphone.
Is therapy covered by medical aid?
Yes, sessions are covered by most medical aid schemes. I submit claims directly, minimising administrative hassle for you. If you are not a member of a medical aid, a reduced fee is applied.
How will I know if therapy is working?
Most clients notice tangible improvements within the first few sessions, including reduced symptoms, changed responses to triggers, and an increased sense of control and well-being.
Do I need to prepare anything before my first session?
Just bring yourself and an openness to the process. You do not need to rehearse your story or worry about having all the answers – we will work through everything together.

Sessions are available Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, online or in‑person.
