Specialist Focus

BWRT® — BrainWorking Recursive Therapy®

A modern, neuroscience-informed therapy model used internationally by qualified practitioners.

BWRT® stands for BrainWorking Recursive Therapy®. It is a modern model of psychology and psychotherapy created by Terence Watts. BWRT® is often described as a neuroscience-informed approach that works with automatic emotional and behavioural responses.

A key feature of BWRT® is that clients do not always need to disclose every detail of private or painful experiences; the process can focus on how the person feels and how they would prefer to feel instead. This can make therapy feel safer and more contained for many people.

BWRT® is used internationally by psychologists, counsellors, psychotherapists, and other qualified practitioners. Sessions with Rita are delivered within the standards of her HPCSA registration and are tailored to each client’s situation.

Please note: BWRT® is not a replacement for emergency medical or psychiatric care. Suitability is assessed individually, and individual outcomes vary.
